Mary Berkeley, a mistress of King Henry VIII was reported to have had two sons Thomas Stucley and John Perrot both of whom were rumoured to be illegitimate children of Henry. While pregnant with her second son, Henry began his serious pursuit of Anne Boleyn. Just after John's birth Mary was quickly married off to her first husband, Sir Thomas Perrot.
