Maria Doyle Kennedy

 Maria Doyle Kennedy is an Irish actress and singer/composer.  She is known for her role as Catherine of Aragon in seasons 1 and 2 of The Tudors; she also reprised this role in the final episode of the series, in a dream sequence.

Career

Maria is best known for her award-winning role as Catherine; she has also co-starred in Season 5 of Dexter (another Showtime series) and currently co-stars in the TV series Orphan Black.

She has also worked extensively in the music industry as a singer, composer/songwriter and musician.  Her music is extremely popular in her native Ireland.

Personal Life

Born Maria Josephine Doyle in Dublin, 1964, she studied at Trinity College.  She has been married to Kieran Kennedy since 1988, and they have four sons.  Maria is a fluent speaker of Irish Gaelic.
