Henry Cavill is a British actor who co-stars as Charles Brandon in all four seasons of The Tudors.
Cavill's career began in 2002 with a supporting role in The Count of Monte Christo, which co-starred his future Tudors co-star James Frain . After co-starring in all four seasons of The Tudors, he transferred to more mainstream Hollywood films such as Immortals, The Cold Light of Day, Stardust and the 2015 remake of The Man from U.N.C.L.E (with Cavill playing the lead role). His most recent high-profile role was starring as Superman in 2013's Man of Steel, to date the highest-grossing Superman film in history. He reprised the role in the 2016 sequel, Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice
Cavill was born in 1983 on Jersey, the Channel Islands; he attended school in Jersey before moving to England. He was engaged to Ellen Whitaker from 2011-2012.
